Smart City Projects: From Planning to Implementation

A Smart City is where infrastructure and ICT are used to implement the core policies of the Entity.

The Smart City concept embodies a vision of urban reality that, through a broad perspective ranging from mobility to energy efficiency, from eGovernment to active citizen participation, aims to raise the standards of sustainability, social well-being, attractiveness, and economic dynamism of cities, while also producing cost benefits for the Administrations.

Given the breadth of application areas and the variety of technological possibilities offered by the market, the first challenge an Entity faces in a Smart City project is to understand the most suitable solutions capable of meeting its own needs and the desires of the territory.

EasyGov's Professional Services

The services offered by EasyGov are intended to guide the Entity through a path that begins with knowledge creation, goes through the planning and development phases of a Smart City Plan, and concludes with the implementation of Smart City Actions.

The proposed methodology has the following operational objectives, which translate into work steps:

Understand the state of the art: institutional strategies, territorial context, technological resources, ongoing projects;

Survey the needs in every area of intervention, both those expressed by the Entity and those perceived by citizens and stakeholders;

Evaluate Smart City Actions through a policy-making tool based on the Administration's strategic objectives and the surveyed needs;

Provide guidelines and tools for the implementation and monitoring of the Actions, including, for example: reusable solutions, PPP procurement strategies, public funding, synergies with local stakeholders, timeline, governance model, monitoring indicators, etc.
